The Elga R. Wasserman Courage, Clarity, and Leadership Award recognizes a person who has contributed to building equity, diversity, and inclusion at Yale and has excelled in articulating and advancing the highest aspirations of the Yale community.
This year, with great honor, the Women Faculty Forum celebrates Judith Resnik, the Arthur Liman Professor of Law at Yale Law School, and presents her with the 2025 Elga R. Wasserman Award. .
Resnik has been part of a group of women who have helped Yale to engage with the challenges of becoming an institution open to all people. When Yale was marking its 300th anniversary, Resnik was among the conveners of a segment to acknowledge the entry of women as students and as teachers during the last century. Resnik was key in the development of the 2001 program, Gender Matters - Women and Yale in its Third Century, which prompted the founding of WFF.
