The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the Women Faculty Forum announces a “Call for Artists” to commission a portrait honoring Dr. Evelyn Boyd Granville. A trailblazer and the second African American woman to earn a PhD in Mathematics from an American university, Dr. Granville received her PhD at Yale University in 1949. The portrait will have a permanent home in the Bass Library. Proposals due December 15, 2025. Link to GSAS for information. More about Dr. Granville, here.
