Job Opening: Gender Equity and Policy Postgraduate Associate

The Yale Women Faculty Forum is now accepting applications for the position of Gender Equity and Policy Postgraduate Associate. This full or part time position will begin September 1, 2017 and end June 30, 2018, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The position will remain open until filled.

The Gender Equity and Policy Postgraduate Associate will:

  • Support the organization’s scholarly and advocacy goals, which may include data collection, limited analyses, and report/ publication writing;
  • Facilitate collaboration with other campus organizations;
  • Oversee the implementation of continuing and new WFF programs and projects;
  • Produce and develop WFF materials such as the weekly newsletter, annual report and build our social media presence

Qualified applicants will be recent bachelors or masters degree graduates from Yale with demonstrated academic excellence, a background in thinking about the role gender plays in social structures, qualitative and organizational skills, and experience working with diverse groups of people. The ideal applicant will also have familiarity with software such as Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and a variety of social media platforms. The working space for this position will be housed in the WFF office, and will involve collaboration with a post-doctoral associate, as well as the WFF leadership (Chairs and Council). Pay will be commensurate with education and experience. Applicants should submit the following to wff@yale.edu:

  • Names and contact information of two or three references with at least one from Yale University faculty;
  • A cover letter that includes why you are interested in the position and relevant experience. Applicants should also indicate whether they wish to work full- or part time;
  • A writing sample, which could be a term paper, senior essay, Master’s thesis, or published academic paper
