Each fall, the Yale Women Faculty Forum hosts an Annual Reception, inaugurating the new academic year, welcoming new faculty and administrators, and celebrating the successes of our colleagues.

In 2021, the Elga R. Wasserman Courage, Clarity, and Leadership Award was added to the tradition, recognizing  a person who has contributed to building equity, diversity, and inclusion at Yale and has excelled in articulating and advancing the highest aspirations of the Yale community. This year, Women Faculty Forum is proud to celebrate  and honor Marcella Nunez-Smith, MD, MHS, Associate Dean for Health Equity Research, C.N.H. Long Professor of Internal Medicine, Epidemiology, and of Public Health  as the recipient of the 2026 Elga R. Wasserman Award.
