We are excited to announce an event entitled, “Toward Inclusion” for Faculty, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Graduate Students in FAS Science and Engineering Departments on October 26 from 10am to 11:30pm organized by the the Women Faculty Forum, the FAS Senate Diversity Committee, and the FAS Dean of Science and Engineering’s office.
This event will feature a 30 minute panel discussion moderated by Larry Gladney (FAS Dean of Diversity and Faculty Development) and panelists Anjelica Gonzalez (Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering) and Priya Natarajan (Professor of Astronomy) with Q&A followed by two moderated discussions among participants to discuss barriers and solutions to inclusion for URMs in science and at Yale.
The FAS Dean for Science and Engineering’s office will also sponsor an additional viewing of the award winning documentary “Picture A Scientist” that vividly portrays the experience of women in science from October 21st to October 23rd.
