The WFF hosts a series of events across the academic year, including our faculty lunch series, interdisciplinary lecture series “Knowing,” leadership training workshops, and our annual fall reception.
We are currently commissioning a portrait of the first 7 women to receive Ph.Ds at Yale in 1894. The portrait will be hung prominently in the nave of Sterling Memorial Library. The group portrait will honor these pioneering alumnae, who were among the first women to earn doctorates in the United States, and also commemorate the opening of the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences to women in 1892.
