The WFF hosts a series of events throughout the academic year, including interdisciplinary lectures, WISAY-WFF mentoring lunch, leadership training workshop, walking tour of women’s history at Yale, and our annual fall reception.
We also organize advocacy, leadership, and research projects:
1) Public Voices Thought Leadership Fellowship: the WFF teams with the Op-Ed Project to work with underrepresented faculty on sharing their expertise in public forums.
2) The Portrait Project: we commissioned a portrait of the first women to obtain Yale Ph.D’s to enhance iconography of women on Yale’s campus.
3) We regularly organize conferences at Yale on gender. For example, we partnered with YaleWomen to organize Gender Rules, a symposium on gender in institutional settings.
4) “The View”: every five years, we produce a survey of gender parity at Yale and publish our findings.
